Dear Malayalee Community Members ,
Culture grounds us, unites us reminding us who we are, where we come from and the values we hold as a community. It nurtures respect and kindness while through festivals, languages and art forms passed through generations keeping alive those values embedded in the sense of belonging.
MAWA has done a phenomenal job since 1996 to bring us Malayalee's in Western Australia together, hosting various events over the past few decades preserving our own Kerala culture in a faraway land. I acknowledge and thank every individual contributed to MAWA as a volunteer, participant or committee member over with great regard while reminding all of us that such individuals are the reason why our unique culture thrive and we feel completely home wherever we live.
As the new committee for 2026, our team is committed to keep up the good work, putting together vibrant events for the upcoming year. With all your support and participation we shall cherish those moments and create memories throughout.
We seek active engagement with the community to help us serve you better. If you feel there is something that we could do better, I strongly urge you to reach out to us. Together we can get it right and grow this organization further.
If you are not a member, I encourage you to become one and join the community.
On behalf of the MAWA Committee 2026, I request to all Malayalees living in Western Australia to connect with us, participate & support our events / activities and live the “Malayalee life” right here in Western Australia!
